Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been making the headlines for the past few weeks for her upcoming wedding celebrations. The actress married Mumbai-based gallerist, Nicholai Sachdev in an intimate ceremony held in Thailand. Varalaxmi shared some exclusive glimpses from the event on her official social handles, delighting the fans with the new update.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Nicholai Sachdev tied the knot on July 3, in a ceremony only attended by their close friends and family, in Krabi, Thailand. The Yashoda actress took to her official Instagram handle to share a stunning set of images from the traditional Tamilian wedding. The first image captures the bride and the groom in a moment of closeness, as Nicholai embraces his wife, lightly holding her. It is followed by similar moments of love between the newly wedded couple.
Varalaxmi has donned a gorgeous red kanjeevaram saree, the traditional wedding outfit for a Tamilian bride. For her accessories, the young actress has opted for heavy, Indian jewellery, which is also considered an important part of an Indian bride’s attire. She is seen in a layer of heavy gold necklaces, studded with precious stones. The first necklace is studded with diamond and emerald-looking stones, looking more like a choker. The second necklace hangs below the neckline, also made with huge diamond-like gems with small green stones on a gold chain. It is paired with matching earrings and a mang tikka while her hair is sleekly tied back in a gajra-clad bun. Her husband Nicholai has chosen the customary attire for a Tamilian groom, consisting of an off-white kurta and a dhoti.
