Varun Dhawan starrer Bhediya was loved by the audience. The horror comedy received an overwhelming response and reportedly makers are planning to come up with the sequel. Pinkvilla has reported that makers will be starting the shoot by the end of next year. Varun Dhawan will also start gearing up for the project soon.
Pinkvilla quoted a source saying that Bhediya’s character is very close to Varun Dhawan and Dinesh Vijan’s hearts. Varun and Dinesh recently announced that they will be returning with Bhediya 2. With the response that they have got for Varun’s cameo in Stree 2, the actor-producer duo intends to start working on Bhediya 2 soon and take it on the floor by the end of 2025.
Talking about Bhediya , the film opened with low numbers. Speaking with Indian Express, the actor expressed that he had his hopes up for Bhediya. However, one has to pick themselves up and move forward in their career trajector. He stated, “You pick yourself up and move on. You have to hit back, you can’t sulk. Take a few days and get back to work. With Bhediya, my expectations were huge but we came in that period… However, the film found its audience on OTT and three months after the release, the studio surprised me with the news that there will be a sequel. I love that character and am really looking forward to playing it again.”
Bhediya trailer presents the life of a boy (played by Varun Dhawan) who gets bitten by a Bhediya aka a wolf. However, to everyone’s surprise, he soon starts to behave like a wolf. He howls, craves blood and flesh, and even goes after his friends to eat them. The trailer then introduces Kriti Sanon as a doctor, who is also left baffled after discovering Varun’s ailment. The trailer looks promising and also has elements of comedy and action in it. However, it will surely also remind you of Spider-Man of the Twilight Saga.
