Weeks after Katrina Kaif was subjected to pregnancy rumours, Vicky Kaushal said he will personally share the ‘good news’ with the media when the time is right. The actor said the statement at the trailer launch of his upcoming film, Bad Newz. Vicky plays the role of a soon-to-be father in the film.
Addressing the question of when he will share his ‘good news’, Vicky said, “Jab aayegi, sabse pehle main (media) ko bataunga. But abhi ke liye, aap bad news enjoy kar lo. Par jab ‘good news’ ka time aayega, we wouldn’t shy away from sharing it.”
For the unversed, photos and videos of Katrina and Vicky from their London getaway had leaked online a few weeks ago, which sparked the rumours of her pregnancy. In the photos, fans spotted an alleged baby bump, which led everyone to believe that Katrina is pregnant.
However, her team shot down the rumours. They issued a statement to the press that read, “Request all media houses to immediately stop this unconfirmed reporting and speculation.”
Vicky married Katrina in December 2021. The couple had an intimate wedding ceremony in Rajasthan. Although they often share pictures with each other, they’ve been private about their relationship.
Meanwhile, Bad Newz is set to release on July 19. The official synopsis reads: “A rare comedy inspired by true events, Bad Newz explores the comedic side of a rare pregnancy phenomenon, Heteropaternal Superfecundation. The film unfolds with Saloni (played by Triptii Dimri) discovering that she is pregnant with twins from two different fathers, Akhil (played by Vicky Kaushal) and Gurbir (played by Ammy Virk). This unimaginable scenario sets the stage for a series of side-splitting and heartwarming events that make for an unforgettable cinematic experience.”
The film is directed by Anand Tiwari. This marks his second collaboration with Vicky after Love Per Square Foot. This is the first time that Tripti and Ammy are working with the duo.
