Victory Trailer Out: Hyeri And Park Se Wan Turn Cheerleaders In This Sports Film
Directed by Park Beom Su, Victory will narrate the story of a high school cheerleading squad in a small village.

In a treat for South Korean lovers, a youth drama film titled Victory featuring singer-actor Lee Hye-ri, Park Se Wan, Lee Jung Ha and Jo Aram is ready for release. The first poster and trailer for the highly-anticipated film, based on a high school cheerleading squad, has been unveiled. The movie will also mark Girl’s Day band member Hyeri’s return to the silver screen.

High School Drama Film ‘Victory’ Releases in August

On June 5, Mindmark Movie released the first teaser trailer along with a new poster on Instagram. The poster features nine characters leaping energetically against the backdrop of a blue sea. “Even if the world is destroyed, we dance. #Victory that will excite everyone,” the makers wrote.

In the trailer, two high school best friends, Pil Seon (Hyeri) and Mi Na (Se Wan), join their cheerleading squad, Millennium Girls. Tags along a newly transferred student, Se Hyun (Jo Aram), who is also an experienced cheerleader. As the three share a common love for music and dance, the trailer showcases their new journey, navigating their lives as teenagers in the coastal city of Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, states a Soompi report. Apart from the leading ladies, the film also features actor Lee Jung Ha, who plays Pil Seon’s childhood friend.

Victory will also show how nine team members with unique personalities will come together at Geoje Commercial High School. With a mix of music, dance, friendship, youth, and passion, the story is set in 1999 in a small village.

“With the stellar cast of Hyeri, Park Se-wan, Jo Aram, and Lee Jung-ha, syncing right into their characters 200 percent to show the greatest chemistry, ‘Victory’ will fill theaters with vibrant energy this summer,” the film’s distributor said in a release as quoted by The Korea Times.

The trailer has received immense love on the internet, as fans are eagerly waiting for its release, especially Hyeri’s return to the screens.

Directed by Park Beom Su, Victory will premiere on August 14. The filmmaker is known for his previous works, like Red Carpet and Single in Seoul.
