Vivek Agnihotri Lashes Out At Those Mocking Kangana Ranaut In Slapping Incident: 'Only Sane People...'

The recent incident involving actor-politician Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport has sparked a range of reactions. Social media users and public figures alike have shared their perspectives on the situation where Kangana was reportedly slapped by a CISF constable. Among those who have commented on the incident is also Vivek Agnihotri.

On Friday, Vivek Agnihotri took to his X(formerly Twitter) handle and reposted Kangana Ranaut’s video statement. He expressed,

“This incident with @KanganaTeam must be condemned by every sane person. Why do I say ‘sane’? Because only sane people understand how dangerous it is for a democracy. Those who are laughing at Kangana must know that many people don’t like your tweets either. And you fly too.”

Earlier in the day, renowned music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani commented on the incident through his Instagram Stories, expressing his willingness to support the CISF personnel involved.

In his Instagram Stories, Vishal posted a video report of the incident and captioned it, “I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need of this @official_cisf personnel’s anger. If any action is taken against her by the CISF, I will ensure that she has a job waiting for her should she choose to accept it. Jai Hind. Jai Jawaan. Jai Kisaan.”

The CISF constable involved was identified as Kulwinder Kaur. According to the Hindustan Times, following the incident, she was detained and subsequently suspended after Kangana Ranaut filed a complaint with CISF officials upon her arrival at Indira Gandhi airport.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram Stories to criticize the industry’s silence on the incident. She wrote, “All eyes on Rafah Gang this can happen to you or your children as well…When you celebrate a terror attack on someone be ready for the day it comes back to you as well.”

In her statement, Kangana had assured everyone that she is safe and fine as she also questioned “terrorism” in Punjab, “Namastey dosto! I have been getting a lot of phone calls from the media and my well-wishers. I am safe, I am perfectly fine. What happened at the Chandigarh airport today was during the security check. When I left after the security check, the CISF personnel hit me on my face. She abused me. When I asked her why she did it, she told me that she supports farmers’ protests. I am safe but my concern is, how do we handle terror in Punjab?” she said.

Kangana, running as a BJP candidate, recently won the Lok Sabha seat from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi. She triumphed over Congress’ seasoned politician, Vikramaditya Singh, by a margin of over 74,000 votes.
