About a month back, she made a shocking revelation during a trailer launch of her web series, Showtime. Mouni Roy confessed how she was once insulted by an industry insider. She said, “I have heard insulting lines. I have been told that I would never make it to the industry and that I wouldn’t be able to act. Someone told me, ‘You don’t have what it takes to become a Bollywood actor.”
Mouni Roy added that Bollywood is a fair place, but she also believes that it is a very difficult industry. She said along with hard work, it comes with a lot of challenges. “There is a struggle that you cannot deny, there are no shortcuts that you can take. Work begets work. When you are focused on your job, sooner or later you will land that next (big) role. That’s my mantra,”
