Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar Avoid Posing Together At National Awards; Reddit Users Say 'All Is Not Well'

Alia Bhatt was honoured with the Best Actress National Award on Tuesday, October 17 in New Delhi. The prestigious ceremony was also attended by Karan Johar, who was there to accept the Special Jury Award for Shershaah, a film he had produced in 2021. While several pictures and videos of celebrities from the National Awards 2023 ceremony are going viral on social media, Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar are nowhere seen together. This has left netizens wondering if eveything is not okay between the two.

On Wednesday morning, one of the Reddit users asked “Is something off between Alia and KJo?” “They weren’t spotted together today. Neither did either of them share a story for each other. Knowing them, it’s quite unbelievable that they didn’t attend the ceremony together,” the user wrote.

This left several others wondering if Alia and Karan are not on good terms curretly. “Karan talked about how Alia told him to not praise her and whatnot I feel like that pissed him off,” one of the users argued. Another netizen wrote, “I was surprised how he didn’t just slip in a congratulatory message for Alia in his latest post on Shershah winning the National Award considering it is her first and most dear award till date and How he just NEVER fails to sprinkle a little bit of Alia in every conversation ever”.

Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar are otherwise industry BFFs. Alia made her Bollywood debut with KJo’s Student of The Year in 2012. The two recently worked together for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

However, Karan has often also been accused of taking Alia’s name ‘bit too much’. During the Koffee With Karan 7 finale, the filmmaker revealed that he had a conversation with Alia Bhatt also regarding the same when the actress too asked KJo to take her name so often on his show.
