Ananya Panday and Deepika Padukone captivated audiences with their on-screen chemistry in Shakun Batra’s 2022 film Gehraiyaan, earning praise from both fans and critics. With anticipation building for their next collaboration, Ananya Panday recently revealed three fascinating things she admires and would love to acquire from her co-star, Deepika Padukone.
During a candid interview with ETimes, Ananya Panday was asked about what she would like to have from Deepika Padukone’s belongings. The actress humorously replied, “From Deepika…her body or her plates. Deepika has some really good crockery at her place and the South Indian food at her place is yum. So, her body and the food at her place.”
Further, Ananya, who recently bought a new house, admitted to having a fascination with crockery. She revealed, “I just realised how obsessed I am with plates, bowls, and spoons. I never thought in my life that I was going to be clicking pictures of crockery, but I just love them, it is my new obsession.”
Ananya Panday also discussed her pride in being a homeowner, emphasising that purchasing a house was more about proving something to herself than to anyone else. For her, it symbolised taking responsibility and achieving independence.
Ananya Panday also revealed her deep admiration for Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar and his legendary comedy films. She expressed that Akshay Kumar has shaped an era in cinema that remains her favourite. Movies like Hera Pheri, Welcome, De Dana Dan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Garam Masala hold a special place in her heart. She confessed that she could watch them repeatedly because they never fail to bring her laughter and joy.
On the work front, Ananya is gearing up for some exciting projects. She is slated to make her OTT debut in a Karan Johar-backed show titled Call Me Bae. In the series, she portrays the character of a billionaire who faces disownment from her family due to a scandalous controversy. Alongside Ananya, the show also stars Varun Dhawan and Vir Das. Moreover, she is also set to appear in director Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming thriller film Control and Darbadar.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone will be seen in the eagerly awaited film Singham Again, where she will portray the role of a lady cop. The film is set to hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
