Dunki Box Office Collection Day 1 Early Reports: Shah Rukh Khan Film Opens Well, To Earn Rs 30 Cr Approx

Shah Rukh Khan’s third film of the year, Dunki, released in cinemas on Thursday. The first show at Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy at 5:55 am was a festive event and videos went viral on social media. Early estimates suggest Dunki may earn around Rs 30 crore on Thursday, with morning and afternoon show occupancies at 26.45% and 21.77%, respectively, as per Scanik.com, . The overall Hindi occupancy hovers around 24.11%.

However, Dunki is also up against Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, releasing on Friday. Even before hitting theaters, Salaar is giving tough competition to Dunki at the ticket counters. Before its release, Salaar has already made Rs 35.23 crore from selling roughly 16,83,871 tickets.

As for the first show, in a video shared on Twitter, now known as X, fans of Shah Rukh Khan were seen dancing together while dhols set the mood at Gaiety Galaxy. A few fans were seen holding up cutouts of a flight with Dunki written on it. A small stage for fireworks was also arranged. Fans were seen dancing outside the theatre while they waited for the film to premiere. Watch the video below:
