Bollywood’s Dream Girl Hema Malini recently got annoyed when a fan asked her for a selfie at an event in Mumbai. The veteran actress was at the launch of Gulzar’s authorised biography ‘Gulzar Saab: Hazar Rahein Mud Ke Dekhin’ when the incident took place. It is written by Yatindra Mishra and explores Gulzar’s films, songs, stories and poems besides his other literary works.
At the event, Hema Malini was heard telling one of the fans, “Selfie lene ke liye thode aaye hain (We’re not here to take selfies).” A video of the same has now also surfaced on social media. Watch it here:

Soon after the video surfaced on social media, several users reacted to it and expressed disappointment with the actress. While one of the users called her “rude”, another user compared her to Jaya Bachchan, who also often gets angry at the paparazzi.
Hema Malini is a veteran actress-turned-politician who has worked in several blockbuster movies including Sholay, Jamai Raja, Kudrat, Desh Premee, Jyoti, Kranti, Do Aur Do Paanch and Baghban among others. Hema was last seen in the 2020 film Shimla Mirchi.
Hema Malini is married to veteran actor Dharmendra. They first met in 1970 when they were shooting for their film Tum Haseen Main Jawaan. Fans loved their pairing. But when they decided to get married, even Hema’s parents were not in favour. However, life had different plans for the couple and after much difficulties, they got married and welcomed two daughters – Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
Recently, Hema celebrated Dharmendra’s 88th birthday when she took to her Instagram handle and shared a love-filled note for the actor. “Wishing my dearest life partner of many years, a very happy, healthy and joyful birthday. May you have all the love your heart can hold, all the happiness a day can bring, and all the blessings a life can unfold. I just want to say: I hope you can see how special you are to me. Happy birthday to my love!. @aapkadharam,” she wrote.
