The beloved couch is back with host Karan Johar as Hotstar Specials’ Koffee with Karan returns for season 8. This time the conversations are edgier, crazier and candid with no room to escape. Dropping new episodes every Thursday exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar, viewers are on a whirlwind journey of getting up close and personal with celebrities.
Rani and Kajol are reuniting on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan 8 after 16 years. The duo had last appeared on the show together in 2007. In the latest promo that dropped, Karan, Rani and Kajol can be seen having a ball of a time during the Koffee Quiz. During the quiz, Karan asked Kajol about the film in which her cousin Rani made a cameo. Kajol quickly pressed the buzzer but couldn’t recall the answer. She went blank, and Rani laughed it off. Karan Johar jokingly said, ‘How are you so stupid?’ Karan then went on to reveal that it was, in fact, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Kajol, who couldn’t recall it, said, ‘Rani had a special appearance in the film?’ For those unversed, Rani had a cameo as Naina Kapoor, a socialite girl who loves and wants to marry Rahul, played by Shah Rukh Khan, in the Karan Johar directorial. Check out the promo right here:
In another promo, Kajol can be seen saying to Karan, “Humble is not your middle name.” The revelation took Karan by surprise. Rani also jokes with Karan by saying, “I want to expose you”. Karan, taken aback, says, “Don’t say such things!”
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra have already made an appearance this season. Up next are Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn, among others.
