Singers Neha Kakkar and Falguni Pathak have been making the headlines recently for the former’s remake of the latter’s popular song, Maine Payal Hai Chankai. Pathak was not okay with Neha remaking her song and was quite vocal about it. She shared a lot of posts and memes criticising Neha for the remake and also spoke about how upset she was. Amid that, Neha took to social media to share a cryptic post on receiving success based on her hard work.
Now, the singer uploaded another post which has a subtle reference to the song. She uploaded a couple of photos of her dressed in a black outfit and wrote, “Maine Payal Hai Chankai! #OSajna" In another separate post, she wrote, “#OSajna"

Taking to the comment section, her husband Rohan Preet Singh wrote, “My Princess!!" Neha’s sister Sonu Kakkar wrote, “Pretty pretty♥️" She also found support in her fans who took to the comment section to leave positive words for her.

Meanwhile, Falguni opened up about her views on the remix of her iconic song. “I feel overwhelmed and touched on receiving so much love from all over for the song, so had to share their feelings," Falguni told Pinkvilla about reposting reels and posts slamming Neha Kakkar’s recreation.
Falguni Pathak also shared that she wasn’t approached by the makers of ‘O Sajna’. Falguni had also re-shared a story by her fan that asked her to sue Neha Kakkar. When asked about the same, Falguni said, “I wish I could but the rights are not with me."
The original song was released in 1999 and it featured television actor Vivan Bhatena. The song was played out as a puppet show in a college fest. The song was a massive hit with fans listening to it even today.
