Rashmika Mandanna is one of the most popular actresses in the country today. She is making waves after her last film, Animal, was a superhit. Now, she will be seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film will feature Allu Arjun and Fahad Faasil in prominent roles. Recently, Rashmika spoke about the film and gave some insight into her character in the sequel.
Rashmika Mandanna told Pinkvilla, “It starts feeling like home. Like, when you finish one film, and towards the end of the film you get really connected with the cast and crew, right, so when you have the part 2 coming, again you’re like ‘Hey, what’s up!?’ and you just, sort of like – it’s party time.”
Speaking about her character, Rashmika said now her character is Pushpa’s wife. She mentioned that the sequel will have a “lot more masala” and will have more drama and conflicts.
Earlier, Rashmika had given an update about the film and said, “I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that. I just shot for a song for Pushpa 2 and I was just like, ‘How are you guys thinking about this?’ Everyone is so driven to make a good film. All of us have gone all out and are enjoying the process. It’s a story that has no end, you can lead it any which way. It is fun,” she said.
The shooting for Pushpa 2 is currently underway. In November 2023, the shoot was halted for a couple of weeks due to Allu Arjun’s health issues but it was resumed later. Last year, Allu Arjun shared his first-look poster of Pushpa 2 in which he was seen dressed in a saree with his face painted in shades of blue and red. Later, the look poster of Fahadh Faasil from the movie was also released. Fans are now waiting for Rashmika Mandanna’s look poster.
