The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for submitting exam applications for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2024. This extension, which was announced on October 12, is applicable for private candidates. Students now have until October 18 to complete and submit their CBSE board exam forms without incurring any late fees. To do so, they can visit the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in, to fill out the application and make the necessary fee payment.

For students who missed the initial application deadline, there is still an opportunity to submit their forms for the 2024 exams, albeit with the requirement of paying a late fee. Private students can do so from October 19 to October 25, with late fee charges. This allows those who missed the initial deadline to still participate in the upcoming CBSE board exams.

According to the official notice released on September 5, the list of eligible candidates who can submit their exam forms encompasses several groups. Students who faced failures or had to repeat essential exams in the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, can appear. Students who passed the exam in 2023 and who aim to enhance their performance in specific subjects can also participate in the board exams for 2024.
