IIM CAT 2023 Admit Card Release Date Postponed, Check Revised Date
CAT 2023: Originally scheduled for release on October 25, the issuance of the admit card has now been postponed to November 7

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow, has announced a delay in the release of the IIM CAT 2023 admit card. Originally scheduled for release on October 25, 2023, the issuance of the admit card has now been rescheduled to November 7, 2023.

Once the admit card for the Common Admission Test (CAT) becomes available, candidates can access and download it from the official website at iimcat.ac.in. “The Admit Card for CAT 2023 examination will be made live on 07th Nov 2023. Please use your User ID and Password to log in and download the Admit card,” the notice read.

CAT 2023 ADMIT CARD: HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Candidates should follow these steps to successfully download the CAT Admit Card 2023 once out:

Step 1: Go to the official website — iimcat.ac.in.

Step 2: Locate and click on the Registered Candidate Login link on the webpage.

Step 3: On your screen, a new page will open.

Step 4: Enter your CAT login information, including your user ID and password.

Step 5: The CAT admission card will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Download the admit card, save it to your device, and take a print out of it.

The CAT exam is scheduled to be held in three shifts on November 26. The exam will be divided into three sections: linguistic ability and reading comprehension; data interpretation; local reasoning and quantitative ability. Candidates will have 120 minutes to finish the exam, with 40 minutes allotted to each section.

All applicants are advised to bring one of the following valid photo identifications to the examination centre, in addition to the CAT admit card. The list of acceptable identification proofs includes- Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, PAN cards, college or university ID cards, passports, and driving licences.

As per the official website, CAT 2023 will be administered in around 155 cities. When candidates were filling out their applications, they were required to select any six test cities in the order of their preference. For the application process, candidates falling under the SC, ST, and PwD categories were charged a registration fee of Rs 1200, whereas those from other categories had to pay Rs 2400. Importantly, this fee was a one-time payment, regardless of the number of institutes to which they were applying.

CAT is required for admission to several IIM postgraduate and fellow/doctoral programmes across the country. Other institutes listed as members are permitted to use CAT scores for admission.
