‘January 22 is Operation Bluestar Against Muslims’: Pannun Issues Threat on Ram Temple Opening
Designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has again threatened the Indian government against the consecration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He has asked the Muslim community to oppose the event and help him launch a protest from Amritsar to Ayodhya

Sikhs for Justice leader and Khalistani Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has again threatened the Indian government on the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. He has even urged the Muslim community to oppose the inauguration of the temple, which, he claims, is built on Babri Masjid.

The intelligence sources told News18 that Pannun has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “global enemy of Muslims”. He claimed that the temple is built on the bodies of thousands of Muslims, who were forced into conversion.

“The January 22 consecration ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is the most unholy, ungodly, unrighteous ceremony,” he has supposedly said. “January 22 is Modi’s Operation Bluestar against Muslims”.

After threatening Air India airlines for imposing an international blockade against it amid the India-Canada diplomatic row over the death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Pannun has now called upon the Muslims to help him launch a protest from Amritsar to Ayodhya and shut down the airports over the Ram Temple event.

It is time that Muslims carve out a country ‘Urdistan’ from India or else the Hindu regime of Modi will forcefully convert every Muslim,” he claimed.

Indian intelligence sources are suggesting that Pannun is seeking mileage out of the current situation as his attempt to start a referendum for a separate Khalistan has failed, and he is in “panic mode”.

Pannun, an American citizen and a lawyer, had also threatened Indian consulates and missions in Canada, UK and US over Nijjar’s death. Last year, he had circulated photos of Indian High Commissioner to Ottawa Sanjay Kumar Verma and Consul General in Toront Apoorva Srivastava in a poster in which they were accused of playing a role in Nijjar’s killing.

Pannun was declared a designated terrorist in 2020 by India under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

He is from a village in Amritsar, Punjab, and graduated in law from Panjab University in 1990s. He is one of the three children of a former Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board employee Mahinder Singh. He is frequently seen in Canada, at pro-Khalistan gatherings and functions.
