The South Korean car manufacturer Kia recently updated its SUV and MPV lineup by adding the Seltos Facelift and Carens to the portfolio. Both the vehicles received an overwhelming response from the customers. Now, the company is all set to hike the price range on both cars, starting from October.
Kia Seltos and Carens Price Hike
It has been reported that the price hike will impact on both base and top models. The lower trims might see a price hike of around Rs 20,000. While the top models are likely to become costly by Rs 40,000. However, Kia has not revealed the new price range as yet.
Here’s What Company’s Top Official Says About Price Hike
While confirming the news, National Head (Sales and Marketing) at Kia
India, Hardeep Brar said that the steps have been taken amid the rise of production costs. He said there are a lot of car makers who have already hiked the price post-April. But, Kia was the only one that did not take that step. Now, the prices of raw materials are skyrocketing. So, the company had to take the decision, Brar added.
