The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will hold the sixth phase of the CBT-1 exam for the non-technical popular category(NTPC) exams from April 1. The exam will be held for about 6 lakh candidates and would be held on April 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The admit card for the same will be released about four days ahead of the date of the exam at the respective regional website.
The exam is being held amid strict COVID-related precautions. Related guidelines will be mentioned on the admit card. The use of a face mask is mandatory. Candidates will be allowed entry only if wearing a face mask and then it should be worn at all times, as per the official statement. Items including electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, pager, watches, bluetooth-enabled devices, calculators, metallic wears, bangles, belts, bracelets, etc. are not allowed inside the test center.

A total of 1.26 crore candidates had applied for 35,208 posts offered under RRB NTPC recruitment. The exam, hence, is taking place in phases. Those who clear the CBT-1 level exams will be shortlisted for further rounds.
RRB NTPC CBT-1 is a 120-minute exam with objective-type questions. It consists of mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, and general awareness sections. Candidates will be hired at posts including train clerk, junior clerk cum typist, accounts clerk, junior timekeeper among others.
