Sanju Samson is currently leading Kerala in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson recently met with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Jos Buttler during his time in Mumbai.

Samson is currently involved in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where he’s leading Kerala. His team is slated to take on Bihar at the Dr DY Patil Stadium on October 19.

Before the contest, Samson was spotted posing alongside Dhoni and Buttler, who were also in Mumbai.

Samson shared pictures with the two on his Instagram account with the captain reading, “2 of my favourites.”

The star batter has in the past expressed his admiration for Dhoni while Buttler plays alongside him for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The post was an instant hit on Instagram.

It has already amassed over five lakh likes on the Meta platform. The comment section was flooded with countless red heart emojis, which demonstrated fans’ love for the cricketers.

A fan was quick to brand it as a “Wicketkeeper’s frame!” “Three legends in one fame. Love you Mahi, Sanju aur Jos bhai,” another user commented.

Buttler, the captain of England’s white-ball teams, is now in India to represent his country in the ICC ODI World Cup.

After falling short of Afghanistan in the last game, the English side is now gearing up to clash against South Africa in their next assignment. The match is slated to be held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on October 21.

Meanwhile, Dhoni is busy with several promotional shoots and campaigns. The former Indian skipper often travels across cities for his work commitments.

Samson failed to make the cut in India’s ODI World Cup squad.

As KL Rahul was set to feature as the first-choice wicketkeeper, the Indian selectors called up Ishan Kishan as the second option.

Samson could play only as the batter in the middle order but Suryakumar Yadav was preferred over him. He was also not part of the Asia Cup, where Rohit Sharma and Co. clinched the continental title for a record eighth time.

Samson even did not get the call-up for the Asian Games, where India sent a second-string squad, with young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad leading the side.

Looking at his numbers in international cricket, Samson has so far represented India in 13 ODIs and has aggregated a total of 390 runs at a remarkable 50-plus batting average. He has notched three half-centuries in the format. The 28-year-old has also played 24 T20Is, scoring 374 runs.
