A terrifying video has gone viral on social media and it is from when a teenage boy opened fire inside Siam Paragon Mall. For those who don’t know, the Siam Paragon Mall is one of Bangkok’s busiest places. Two people were killed and four people were wounded after the shooting. Now, a video capturing the bone chilling moment has surfaced online. It happened after a Korean streamer was live on Afreeca TV during the gunfire. Afreeca TV is a South Korean live-streaming platform.

Known as BJ Barbie Jini, the streamer can be seen enjoying a glass of her drink when suddenly things take a drastic turn and what could have been a fun day turned into a horrifying one. There was some noise of gunfire and screams. Soon, Jini drops her drink and runs to save her life. She continues to stream even in a panicky situation and somehow manages to capture her deadly escape from the mall.
Even when people flock outside, everyone is running and struck with panic. Jini herself can be heard screaming until she finds a safe space. ‘X’ user Ian Miles Cheong has uploaded the video which has garnered over 5.6 million views. “There was a mass sh*oting by a 14-year-old with issues at a shopping mall in Bangkok yesterday, and a Korean streamer was having a meal when it happened. She was on a livestream when shots rang out,” he mentioned in the caption.

Many people are questioning as to why Jini did not stop streaming. “Wow scary moment for sure. Worked in malls before and always had worries like this,” commented an ‘X’ user. Another person wrote, “She didn’t even look back.”
Meanwhile, Thailand’s prime minister on Wednesday vowed “preventive measures” about the kingdom’s gun control. The shooting at one of Bangkok’s biggest, most upmarket malls comes as a fresh blow to Thailand’s efforts to rebuild its vital tourism industry after the pandemic.
