Hyderabad: Following a masse resignation of Congress and TDP MLAs from Telangana region, TRS MLAs on Tuesday decided to resign from their posts, mounting pressure on the Centre on the issue of formation of the separate state.
"All the TRS MLAs would submit their resignations on Tuesday, TRS MLA and party president K Chandrasekhar Rao's son KT Rama Rao told PTI.
The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has 11 MLAs in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
Rao alleged that the Congress government in the state has no right to continue in office as the legislators from Telangana have quit en masse.
CPI Deputy General Secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said his party, which has four MLAs, would decide on resignations after the party's state secretary K Narayana returned from abroad.
The CPI MLAs have indicated that they are ready to quit their posts for Telangana.
Eighty one MLAs and 10 MPs from Telangana have quit their posts on Monday in support of the separate statehood demand.
