New Delhi: Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Saturday said that he would take a vow of silence to regain his health.
"I have not regained full health after my fast. So to regain my health back, I have decided to keep silence from tomorrow onwards," said Hazare.
"My silence will continue for long and when I feel that it is enough, I will break my silence."
While Hazare said that he would be skipping the anti-Congress campaign across Uttar Pradesh, his tirade against the party did not seem to be over.
The veteran social activist said that appeals did not seem to work with the Congress.
Later, addressing a press conference, the social activist, in reference to his recent communication with the government and Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, said that nothing would be obtained out of leveling allegations on each other.
"We will not get anything by leveling allegations against each other. It only entertains the viewer. Let us ask questions about development," he said.
It was announced earlier on Saturday by key Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal that Hazare would not campaign against the Congress in the UP poll.
He said, "Anna wants to give UPA time till the winter session."
The announcement came amidst allegations by Congress leader Digvijaya Singh that Hazare was turning anti-Congress.
Later, responding to Kejriwal's statement, Digvijaya said, "If Anna protests in UP then we (Congress leaders) too will sit with him and protest."
