114. Barghat is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Balaghat Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Barghat falls in Seoni district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,26,306 voters in the seat, which includes 1,12,998 male voters, and 1,13,306 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Barghat recorded a voter turnout of 82.56%. In 2013 the turnout was 81.34%, and in 2008 it was 77.28%.
In 2013, Kamal Marskole of BJP won the seat by a margin of 269 votes (0.16%). Kamal Marskole secured 46.05% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 15,810 votes (11.64%), registering 45.47% of the total votes polled.
