The Delhi High Court will on Tuesday hear a plea seeking an NIA probe into the sedition case against Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar.

This comes a day after ugly scenes broke out at the Patiala House Court in the national capital on Monday as lawyers attacked JNU students and mediapersons outside the premises.

Delhi police have registered two FIRs in connection with violence after it received several complaints.

There has been no end to politics on the issue either, with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah taking on Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for his visit to JNU, alleging his support to anti-nationals movement allegedly backed by some student's union, alleging his support to anti-nationals movement allegedly backed by some student's union.

He also warned Gandhi to refrain from making controversial statement that the saffron party is promoting a divide and hatred agenda in India.

The party president also demanded apology from Gandhi for his stand on the JNU issue.
