76. Dongargaon is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Dongargaon falls in Rajnandgaon district and Central region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a semi urban seat.
There are a total of 1,88,891 voters in the seat, which includes 94,714 male voters, and 94,173 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Dongargaon recorded a voter turnout of 85.15%. In 2013 the turnout was 85.19%, and in 2008 it was 79.63%.
In 2013, Daleshwar Sahu of INC won the seat by a margin of 1,698 votes (1.17%). Daleshwar Sahu secured 46.76% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 9,407 votes (7.72%), registering 50.36% of the total votes polled.
