EC intensifies surveillance in poll-bound Tamil Nadu
The Election Commission has filed 652 cases against various parties for illegally painting walls with political advertisements.

Chennai: The Election Commission launched its campaign on vehicles with LED screens that will cover the state - asking people to cast their vote.

Each district has one vehicle with the LED screen and will go to every locality and run its ads and campaigns.

The initiative has been taken to achieve maximum turnout during the Tami Nadu Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, the Commission has filed 652 cases against various parties for illegally painting walls with political advertisements, flying banners and posters, in violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

AIADMK party functionaries were booked by election officials for distributing free t-shirts and saris to voters in the Athoor constituency in Tamil Nadu.
