230. Jawad is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Mandsour Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Jawad falls in Neemuch district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,65,625 voters in the seat, which includes 85,395 male voters, and 80,226 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Jawad recorded a voter turnout of 84.11%. In 2013 the turnout was 79.99%, and in 2008 it was 78.56%.
In 2013, Om Prakash Sakhlecha of BJP won the seat by a margin of 13,651 votes (10.85%). Om Prakash Sakhlecha secured 44.62% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 4,765 votes (4.64%), registering 41.29% of the total votes polled.
