Jogi alleges BJP 'conspiracy' to rig Chhattisgarh polls
Jogi also sent a complaint to the EC about the ''conspiracy''.

Raipur: Congress star campaigner and former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi on Thursday night alleged that the state's Bharatiya Janata Party regime was hatching a conspiracy for large-scale rigging in the Naxalism-affected belt during Friday's first-phase Assembly polls to 39 seats.

Jogi also sent a complaint to the Election Commission of India about the ''conspiracy'' and urged the ECI to ensure full security of electronic voting machines (EVMs) after conclusion of polling.

In a statement in Raipur, Jogi said, ''the Raman Singh government will indulge in fake voting in the Naxalism-affected belt after polling ends there at 1500 hrs as all the EVMs will be kept in police stations until 1700 hrs.''

He accused the BJP government of misusing official machinery to implicate Congress candidates and even threatening voters opposed to the ruling party. The Congress leader alleged that following apprehension of losing the hustings, BJP leaders were trying their best to violate democratic norms.
