The Left parties not supporting the DMK, AIADMK, Congress and BJP in other 21 seats in Tamil Nadu.

Chennai: After its brief alliance with the ruling AIADMK came to an end, the Left front in Tamil Nadu has decided to go alone in the Lok Sabha polls. The Left front is contesting in 18 of total 39 seats in the state. The CPI and CPM will contest in nine seats each in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The Left parties not supporting the DMK, AIADMK, Congress and BJP in other 21 seats in Tamil Nadu. Left parties had opted out of AIADMK alliance after Jayalalithaa refused to give them more than one seat each.

The CPM will release its list of candidates on March 16 and the CPI on March 17.
