New Delhi: A day before his three scheduled rallies in poll-bound Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cancelled them all. Modi was scheduled to address rallies in Buxar, Hajipur and Paliganj on October 16, the day Bihar will vote for the second phase.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has, however, denied any rally was scheduled for October 16. Sources said that the third phase of polling is on October 28 and addressing rallies early made no sense.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal wasted no time to hit out at the BJP saying, "This is a repeat of Delhi."
On Friday, voters will seal the fate of 456 candidates in 32 constituencies spread over six Naxal-hit districts, posing a big challenge to security forces.
The districts are Kaimur, Rohtas, Arwal, Jehanabad, Aurangabad and Gaya.
A total of 86,13,870 electors are expected to decide the fate of 456 candidates, 32 out of whom are women. There are 9,119 polling stations.
