New Delhi: A day ahead of the BJP Parliamentary Board Meeting, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met BJP president Rajnath Singh. Modi will be attending his third meeting of the Parliamentary Board as the party gears up for 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting comes a day after Delhi BJP vice president Aaamir Raza Hussain was asked to resign after he critisised Modi. Appearing on CNN-IBN's Face the People, BJP's former Delhi vice president Aamir Raza Hussain called Modi a divisive leader.
Defending the decision to ask Hussain to resign from his post for criticising Modi, the BJP said that the ideology of the party leaders should be in sync with the party. "The BJP works on ideology. I've said this in Goa as well, that from Advani to our grassroot worker, our ideology remains the same. We are all either communal or secular based on your perspective. But the new people joining the party feel that one leader is better than the other. This doesn't happen as all our leaders work on the same ideology," BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said.
