No govt at Centre without BJP or Cong backing: Advani
He said in the elections in Karnataka, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, MP, Rajasthan and Jharkhand, the main fight was between BJP and Cong.

Chitrakoot: Anticipating General elections later in 2013, Bharatiya Janata Party leader LK Advani on Wednesday said no government can be formed at the Centre without the support of either his party or Congress, virtually conceding that neither could get a majority. Partly agreeing with Advani, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav also saw the possibility of early polls and asked his partymen to work for getting "maximum" number of seats for playing a "vital" role in the formation of the next government.

"I hope Lok Sabha polls will be held in 2013 after the Assembly polls in six states... whenever they (polls) will take place, it is certain that Congress will taste defeat", Advani told reporters here on the sidelines of a two-day state BJP executive meeting. nAsserting that the political system has been converted into a bi-polar polity by his party, he said "there will be no government at the Centre without (the backing of) BJP or Congress... it may not be a two-party system but it has certainly been converted by the BJP's efforts into a bipolar polity".

The BJP veteran said in the elections in Karnataka, Delhi,Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand the main fight was between the BJP and Congress. "BJP is expecting good results in these six states after which Lok Sabha polls will be held," Advani said claiming that common man was fed up with scams and corruption in the present regime and wanted to get rid of the present government.

Speaking in Lucknow, Yadav told a meeting of his party's district presidents that the next Lok Sabha polls were very important and they should take it seriously as polls could be held "anytime". "SP has to win maximum seats so that it can play a major role in the formation of government in Delhi," he said. Noting that candidates for 71 of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh have already been declared, Yadav cautioned his partymen about the Opposition propaganda against the state government.
