The stand-off between Delhi government and the Central Bureau of Investigation continues with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claiming that his staff is being summoned by the agency without any official communication.
"CBI summons Delhi CM's staff "informally" on phone without notice. Staff of other ministers called earlier like this," Kejriwal tweeted. The CM said that CBI has summoned Secretariat staff via phone calls.
However, CBI officials have claimed that they are not aware of the development.
As per sources in the Aam Aadmi Party, the CBI is questioning the staff members about who all visit the CM, how the Delhi government is approaching the Supreme Court over CBI raids, among other things.
The staff is said to have objected to the summons saying they don't have a problem on being questioned but CBI can't summon the entire staff at the same time as it stops the work of the Delhi government.
