Politicians congratulate Kejriwal, new challenges awaits him
Social activist Anna Hazare congratulated Kejriwal and said he's confident that Kejriwal will do good work.

New Delhi: As Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal took oath as Delhi chief minister on Saturday at Ramlila Maidan, leaders across the political spectrum congratulated the youngest and the seventh chief minister of the national capital.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called Kejriwal to wish him best of luck. Delhi Congress in-charge Shakeel Ahmad congratulated the new chief minister and said, "We congratulate him on becoming the Delhi Chief Minister. The Congress party has given him support and it will continue as long as he is working for welfare of the people of Delhi."

Social activist Anna Hazare said he's confident that Kejriwal will do good work. "I have sent my good wishes to Arvind Kejriwal. The country is a temple and people are god. I'm confident Arvind will do good work."

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Harsh Vardhan said he only expects AAP to fulfil all its promises. "We will only expect from him that he fulfils all the promises that he made to the people of Delhi. He himself while he was drafting and announcing his manifesto for the whole city as well as for the various constituencies had defined some sort of plan for him. So people of Delhi will definitely like him to fulfil all the promises as early as possible."

Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj congrtulated Kejriwal on Twitter.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh said, "I am congratulating Kejriwal on becoming the chief minister of Delhi and conveying my best wishes to him. I also extend my wishes to his Cabinet members."

AAP had won 28 seats in the 70-member House is forming the government with the outside support of the Congress which had won eight seats.
