63. Satna is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Satna Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Satna falls in Satna district and Vindhya Pradesh region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a urban seat.
There are a total of 2,30,861 voters in the seat, which includes 1,22,127 male voters, and 1,08,731 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Satna recorded a voter turnout of 69.14%. In 2013 the turnout was 62.47%, and in 2008 it was 60.51%.
In 2013, Shankarlal Tiwari of BJP won the seat by a margin of 15,332 votes (11.35%). Shankarlal Tiwari secured 41.59% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 10,800 votes (10.74%), registering 38.45% of the total votes polled.
