Agra: SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday alleged that there was a "tacit understanding" between the Congress and the BSP to make sure that his party does not come to power in the state elections due next year.
"There is tacit understanding between the Congress and BSP and both the governments are working with each others blessings," Yadav said addressing party workers at the eighth national convention of SP at Taarghar ground here.
Yadav claimed that crores of trees were fell by the UP government in Noida and when he raised the issue in Lok Sabha, the Union Environment Minister in its report said that there was nothing of this sort happening in Noida.
SP chief dismissed all claims of differences within the party leadership and said, "There is no groupism or differences between the party leaders. There were reports of differences in some districts, which should be sorted out
immediately,".
Mulayam Singh exuded confidence and said that his party is going to win a majority in Uttar Pradesh assembly election next due year.
"We have to rule in Lucknow and if there is unity we will achieve the target," he added.
Yadav said that the party faces tough challenges for the coming 2012 state assembly polls and 2014 general elections.
