New Delhi: Team Kejriwal is staging a public protest against the power tarrif hike that was effected in the capital. Arvind Kejriwal along with Prashant Bhushan, Sanjay Singh and Kumar Vishwas are protesting at Jantar Mantar on Sunday.
Close to 200-300 people gathered at the venue to protest against an alleged nexus between the government and discoms.
At Sunday's protest, people set afire electricity bills, alleging there was collusion between government and discoms in the capital to increase tariffs and help private companies earn more.
Kejriwal alleged that the hike in tariff came in July, despite DERC, during the tenure of its Chairman Bijender Singh, recommending that there should be a reduction in prices.
