Arun Vijay-starrer Mission: Chapter 1 Now Streaming On This OTT Platform

Tamil film Mission: Chapter 1’s OTT release has been seeing a constant delay with speculations flying around. The film was released during Sankranthi on January 15 and had a successful box office run. Generally, Tamil films start streaming on OTT platforms within 4 weeks of theatrical release but Mission: Chapter 1 had a significant delay. Finally, the film has arrived on OTT. The film has been streaming on Amazon Prime Video since March 15 in Tamil with English subtitles. The film came on OTT 8 weeks after its theatrical release.

Additionally, those who are residing abroad can also catch the movie on the OTT platform Simply South, on which the movie has started streaming from the same date. In February, multiple sources carried reports of the streaming rights of Mission: Chapter having been acquired by Netflix but they turned out to be mere rumours.

Mission: Chapter 1 is directed by AL Vijay and features a talented cast including Arun Vijay, Amy Jackson, Nimisha Sajayan, Abi Hasan, Bharat Bopana and others. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, M Rajashekar, S Swathi, Surya Vamsi Prasad Kotha, and Jeevan Kotha, the film is presented under the banners of Lyca Productions, Shri Shirdi Sai Movies, New March Fast Pictures, and Aspen Film Productions (P) Ltd.

The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, with cinematography by Sandeep K Vijay and editing by Anthony. Notably, this film marks Amy Jackson’s comeback to the silver screen after a hiatus of five years. In an earlier interview, the lead of the film Arun Vijay revealed that he wanted to work with director AL Vijay for a long time.

The basic premise of the movie involves a man who is wrongly sentenced to prison while his daughter needs immediate surgery. The man breaks out of prison during a riot to save his daughter, with the jailer of the prison in hot pursuit.
