Dhyan Sreenivasan’s long-delayed film Swargathile Katturumbu now has a release date in May. However, the official date has not yet been revealed. The film is directed by Jespal Shanmughan, who previously directed popular movies like ATM in 2012 and Mithram in 2014. Gayathri Ashok is playing the female lead in the upcoming film, which was completed last year. The story of the film was written by Sivankuttan Vadayampady, while Viju Ramachandran penned the screenplay and dialogue.
However, the upcoming film also features Joy Mathew, Gowri Nanda, Ambika Mohan, Maheshwari Amma, Nirmal Palazhi, Rajesh Paravur, Manohari Joy, and the late Kollam Sudhi in pivotal roles. The movie is backed jointly by S Vijayakumar and KN Sivankuttan under the banner of Myna Creations.
As per reports, the upcoming movie Swargathile Katturumbu is said to be a comedy entertainer. The cinematography of the movie is handled by Ashwaghosan, with editing by Kapil Krishna and music by Bijibal.
Talking about lead actor Dhyan Sreenivasan, he works predominantly in Malayalam films. He made his acting debut in 2013 with the movie Thira, which featured Shobana in the main lead role and was directed by his brother Vineeth Sreenivasan. Since then, he has never looked back and worked in other popular movies like Adi Kapyare Kootamani, Love Action Drama, Sathyam Mathrame Bodhippikku, Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna, and Khali Purse of Billionaires, to name a few.
He was last seen in the comedy movie Iyer in Arabia. The film revolves around an Orthodox father and progressive mother travelling to Dubai to visit their son. The film was written and directed by MA Nishad and also featured Shine Tom Chacko, Arfaz Iqbal, Durga Krishna, Mukesh, and Urvashi in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Dhyan will be next seen in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham. It is an upcoming Malayalam-language period satirical drama film written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film stars Pranav Mohanlal, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Nivin Pauly, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Basil Joseph, Aju Varghese, Neeraj Madhav, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Neeta Pillai, Arjun Lal, Nikhil Nair, and Shaan Rahman in the lead roles. Varshangalkku Shesham is scheduled to be released in theatres worldwide on April 11, 2024.
Apart from this, he also has the Nivin Pauly-starrer Malayalee From India in his pipeline.
