India’s first AI Technology-based film, Monica: An AI Story has grabbed attention since its announcement. Now, its first look poster has been released. The film is directed by EM Ashraf and stars a US-born social media influencer and entrepreneur Aparna Mulberry in the lead role. The makers of this Malayalam movie reportedly claim that it is the first film in India that integrates AI technology and the character through a story. Apart from its innovative approach to filmmaking, the movie is also garnering attention due to its unique cast. Along with a US-born social media influencer, the movie also stars magician and motivational speaker, Gopinath Muthukad and child artist Sripath in lead roles.
The Arab director, producer, actor and writer, Samir Al Nasser released the poster on the digital platform at a ceremony held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In the poster, the portrait of Gopinath, Sripatha and Aparna Mulberry is seen radiating a sense of the interconnected lives of the trio. The poster claims that it is the first AI movie in India. Producer Mansoor Palloor also graced the event and congratulated the team for the poster release.

Aparna Mulberry, recognised for her participation in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 4 and her significant social media following, has been chosen as the central character for the story. Despite being born in America, the actress is quite well-versed in Malayalam, thanks to her stay in Kerala during which she taught English and assisted Malayalis in improving their pronunciation and intonation. She is famous on the Internet due to her creative and funny videos. She goes by the name of Inverted Coconut on Instagram.
Produced by Mansoor Palloor under the banner of Zams Production House, Monica: An AI Story promises to offer a futuristic cinematic experience. The film’s shooting took place in various locations across Kerala, including Mahe, Kochi, and Kasargod. The movie is also expected to be dubbed in multiple languages to ensure a broader reach of the film.
