Prakash Raj is among the most celebrated actors in the South Indian film industry. In one of his interviews, the actor was seen talking about his journey and revealed that there were times in his career when he did some films for money.
In a conversation with Film Companion, Prakash Raj said, “I do some stupid movies only for money too. They ask me, ‘Why are you so loud?’ I say, ‘If I can overact, I can act too na.’ I don’t hate commercial films because there is an audience for them, there are makers, and there is an equal amount of hard work that goes into them. Then, there, they need me as a villain.”During the interview, the actor also talked about his choices. He revealed that there are times when his intellect questions him about why he does commercial films. At that time, the only answer he has for that is money.
He also said that there are times when he makes films for free. He said that only he decides whether his remuneration will be tangible or non-tangible. He further added that people will not get that there are certain films; he just does them for himself as they are a learning curve for him.
Prakash Raj was last seen in the Guntur Kaaram alongside Mahesh Babu. The actor will be next seen in some of the most highly anticipated films of the year, including Devara with Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Jahnvi Kapoor, OG alongside Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi, and Pushpa: The Rule with Allu Arjun.
