Ram Charan’s wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela took to her Instagram handle on Friday evening to congratulate her father-in-law and actor Chiranjeevi on being conferred with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award. Upasana dropped a picture in which the megastar was seen posing with his five granddaughters, including Klin Kaara Konidela.

In the caption of her post, Upasana penned down a heartwarming note for Chiranjeevi and called him an ‘inspiration’. “What you see are five fingers that form a powerful fist ❤️ Congrats to our inspiration, not just in cinema & philanthropy but in life – as a dad, father-in-law & granddad. Earlier in the day, Ram Charan also congratulated his father and shared that it is a moment of pride for the entire family. “Congratulations @KChiruTweets ❤️on the prestigious ‘Padma Vibhushan’! Your contribution to Indian cinema and society at large has played an instrumental role in shaping me and inspiring countless fans. You are an impeccable citizen of this great nation,” he wrote.

The Padma Vibhushan, one of the highest civilian honours in India, recognizes individuals for their exceptional service in various fields, including the arts, literature, sports, public service, and more.

Besides Chiranjeevi, Vyjayanthimala will also be honoured with Padma Vibhushan. She is one of Indian cinema’s finest actors and has worked in several films from the 1950s and 1960s, including Devdas, Naya Daur, Aasha, Sadhna, Gunga Jumna, Sangam, and Jewel Thief.
