New Delhi: Google has redesigned its Internet connected eyewear, Google Glass, in a bid to make it more appealing to enterprise consumers.
Although its first edition failed to catch on with users, Google has been long working on the hi-tech gadget to spark user interest.
The all-new Google Glass Enterprise Edition or ‘EE’ is a revised version of the Explorer Edition with features more suited for practical use.
It is more rugged in build and appearance, and has been fitted with a strong hinge mechanism on the right that allows the computer and battery modules to be folded like a regular pair of glasses, along with one on the left side of the band as well, 9 to 5 Google reports.
The new Enterprise Edition of the smart glasses is also said to be water resistant with fewer openings and tighter buttons to avoid liquid seepage. It has also been constructed strong enough to withstand normal drops and bumps. It further includes a larger prism, an Intel Atom processor, and improved battery life.
Other design specifications remain same as in the Explorer Edition, including the prism on the right and the band that stretches around the forehead.
