Excitel, an Indian broadband network provider has unveiled a special broadband plan curated to cater to those who binge on their favourite TV shows and movies in their free time. The bundled service is available starting this month and allows subscribers to access multiple over-the-top (OTT) platforms like ZEE5, Voot, Eros, and Shemaroo at no added cost. The subscriptions are complimentary with Excitel’s 300 Mbps/ 3months plan priced at just Rs. 752 and is available in all cities where Excitel functions.
“About 49% of the youth in India spends two to three hours daily on OTT platforms. This surge in content consumption is pegging Indian OTT base to triple this year. Being/Crowned the preferred go- to streaming partner of India, we at Excitel, are happy to partner with leading OTT players to cater to the binge-watching needs of the youth in the country. The bundle pack enables users to consume top of the line OTT content with our 300Mbps package at no extra cost and zero buffering,” Vivek Raina, CEO and Co-Founder of Excitel said.
Excitel claims that it has witnessed a growth of around 55 percent and expanded its user base to 5,00,000 users in India in 2020. Excitel is currently operational in 19 cities including Delhi/NCR, Jaipur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, and more. Excitel also said that it is also working towards expanding in over 50 more cities by the end of this year.
