New Delhi: Google has updated its Hangouts app for iOS with a refreshed interface and new features.
The Hangouts 4.0 for iOS now shows off the new Material Design and features a new compose button that allows you to send messages easily to your frequent chat friends.
The search giant has also made it smoother to access images gallery, camera or emoji library. It further lets you send multiple photos at once. Replacing the paper clip button, the option of sending attachments is now available in a strip below the text-input field, making it more visible and accessible.
When any of the attachment options is chosen, it replaces the keyboard with a similarly-sized window that lets you choose media, while the camera button opens up a mini viewfinder within the space. In this way, the app saves you from switching between apps for the required media, Ars Technica notes.
The Hangouts 4.0 for iOS is available on iTunes and a similar update to the Android version is expected to be launched soon.
