Taiwan-based HTC Corporation on November 24 launched the Desire 10 Pro at Rs 26,490 in India that comes packed with 'selfie panorama' mode for capturing wide-angle photos.

The Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle were announced together, but the latter was launched in September. With this launch, HTC has fired up the mid-range smartphone segment in India.

The smartphone will be available in retail outlets by mid-December.

"Desire 10 Pro is inspired by many of the same innovations that have made the flagship HTC 10 so popular, making it the most brilliant 'Desire' ever," Faisal Siddiqui, President, South Asia, HTC, told reporters in New Delhi.

The Desire 10 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass and is powered by the octa core MediaTek MT6755 processor clocked at 1.8GHz.

The smartphone has a 20MP laser auto-focus rear camera and a 13MP front camera. The phone also packs in HTC BoomSound and runs on HTC's Sense UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Also, the device is equipped with 4GB of RAM, 64 gigs of internal storage (which is also expandable via microSD) and a non-removable 3,000mAh battery.
