Xiaomi is on the roll in 2016 in India. The company has already launched the the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 that keeps on going out of stock and an elegantly designed flagship the Mi5.
And they are already all set to launch the Xiaomi Mi Max. First showcased in China at a starting price of $230 the mammoth phone is all set to launch in India under Rs 20,000 on June 30.
The Xiaomi Mi Max as the name suggests is a huge phone. With a display measuring 6.44-inch there is not many options in the market for that kind of segment.It has a full-HD (1080x1920), 342ppi display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
With that size it falls between a 5.5-inch display smartphone and a 7-inch tablet. The smartphone might remind you of the Xiaomi's already launched Redmi Note 3, but it also derives some design aesthetics from the flagship Mi5.
The Xiaomi Mi Max will majorly have a similar hardware to the Redmi Note 3, only the screen will be bigger. Currently in the market there are not many companies who offer devices with more that 6-inch display.
The Xiaomi Mi Max will be loaded with 3GB RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. The Mi Max will be loaded with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and will have a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies.
The huge 6.44-inc device will come loaded with a 4850 mAh battery. For connectivity Xiaomi fans will get dual-SIM suppport with 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS with Glonass, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac with Mimo. The device comes with a hybrid SIM tray and weighs 203 grams.
Xiaomi is making a bold step by launching a phone in this segment and only time will tell whether this phone will make a mark among the Indian smartphone consumers. The device is expected to launch in the Indian market below Rs 20,000.
