New Delhi: Ads, ads, and more ads. Twitter is going to be the next platform where you will enter the world of 140-character ads. The microblogging and social media network has decided that it is going to soon adorn your Twitter profile with promoted tweets as part of its latest experiment.
Twitter will insert promoted tweets to people's profile pages. So, whenever you visit the page of another user, you are likely to come across a targeted tweet in that user's stream.
A company spokesperson told Re/code that it is a new test of the feature in order to create great experiences for the users, advertisers, and partners.
These ads will be separated from other tweets by a small bumper that creates a break in the stream, and a label that reads 'Suggested by Twitter'.
