Reddit is undergoing a change for the better. The popular discussion forum is now getting new embedding capabilities.
Now publishing platforms and bloggers will be able to include live Reddit content in their stories and articles. It’s quite similar to the YouTube and Twitter embeds which are embeddable on various publishing platforms.
Reddit is known to break some inside stories and also host popular AMA sessions with industry big wigs in the past. They will also keep on continuing with the format. And when websites and bloggers want to use content, they will no longer have to rely on screenshots and can directly embed the elements.
The move comes at a time when platforms like Facebook and Twitter are finding new ways to monetize their content. Reddit also has plans to create revenue opportunities in the future and embedding is just a start of it.
The company plans to make every post on the site embeddable anywhere on the web, but to start with they are working on initial publisher partnership to generate the buzz.
