Among the greatest tennis players of all time, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic managed to add a cricketing twist as part of a charity tennis match at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne called ‘A Night with Novak and Friends.’

Steven Smith along with some other athletes came in to join the charity event where the Australian batter played some cricket with Djokovic. The Serbian tennis legend came in to bowl to start off with Smith smacking a few to the crowds.

Jackson Warne, the son of the late great Shane Warne also came in as part of the event where he bowled a couple of deliveries to Novak as well.
Steven Smith then stepped up with the tennis racquet to play with Djokovic where they had a couple of rallies followed by Jackson Warne as well to conclude the event.

The defending Australian Open champion in the Men’s singles division, Djokovic took part in the two-hour event for charity ahead of his next draw in the tournament.
The Serbian took on Stefanos Tsitsipas where he managed to easily secure the first set with not too much difficulty winning 6 game points to three. After the first set, Djokovic was also seen having some fun sitting at the chair umpire’s seat as well giving the audience a funny moment to look back to.
In the second set, the game switched to mixed doubles where Djokovic was partnered with the reigning Australian Open champion in the women’s division, Aryna Sabalenka while Tsitsipas was with Maria Sakkari.

The 2022 Commonwealth Games all-around and vault champion, Georgia Godwin also made an appearance as she tested the flexibility of Novak Djokovic as well which gave the crowds a laugh.

With the set tied at 2-2, Djokovic and Tsitsipas were playing a tie-breaker where the game featured the Australian wheelchair Tennis champion, Heath Davidson, the reigning Wimbledon and US Open champion.
Djokovic himself got on a wheelchair where he partnered with a boy while Davidson and Sakkari teamed up against the Serbian legend. Tsitsipas’s side took the lead with four points to Djokovic’s two points after which the game changed with Tsitipas back in with Davidson while the youngster partnered with Sabalenka.
The Serbian legend also played some basketball as well during the charity event where he partnered with Australia’s National Basketball League star, Alan T Williams.

Djokovic even tried to attempt a slam dunk with Williams assisting him during this as well.

Another notable Australian athlete that featured was the two-time Olympic middle-distance runner, Peter Bol. He partnered with to try some training drills which the runners have been through as well.
